The State of Professional Guardianships in Florida: Separating Fact from Fiction
In this seminar, we review the role of professional guardians in Florida guardianships and in light of recent well publicized abuses of the system, look at how these abuses can be avoided through good planning and advising. Attendees will come away with a better understanding of the purpose of professional guardians and the potential pros and cons involved when a professional guardian is appointed in these cases. We also discuss the recent negative publicity that professional guardians have received and attempt to distinguish the fact from the fiction.
