Dealing with Disruptive Physicians and Other Employment Issues
In this seminar, we provide guidelines for healthcare organizations to manage disruptive and unprofessional physician conduct. We explore the prerequisites for coverage under the Health Care Quality Improvement Act (HCQIA) and the HCQIA's interpretation of professional review actions, disruptive or unprofessional behavior, reporting obligations, and qualifications for legal immunity. Attendees will learn the role of medical staff and bylaws, a peer review committee, and the requisite committee procedures.

Surprise Medical Billing Act
In this seminar, we provide an overview of surprise medical billing requirements for healthcare providers (such as physicians, billing practitioners, and air ambulance services) and facilities (including hospitals, freestanding emergency departments, and urgent care centers) governed by the No Surprises Act (part of CAA-21).
